On 15 November 2009, special guests of Messiah church were the family of Meridin and Pepa Naziff. They are members of United Bulgarian Church in the city of Shumen with pastor – Veselin Lazarov. Their unique testimony stirred and inspired the believers. Meridin is with Turkish ethnical affiliation and he was a Muslim seven years ago, then Jesus Christ met him. While working in Holland, the young couple of Meridin and Pepa suffered great financial problems. Then Pepa got sick and because they were illegal workers, they had not got the right of medical care or financial supplies for medicines. Then Meridin was frustrated and did not know how to help her, seeing her laying in her bed, on the edge of her life. He started praying his own god for help, but without an answer. During that time Pepa read from the Bible and very often share Jesus with Meridin. When he got up on the next morning he saw that Pepa was laying in the bed cold and motionless. Frightened Meridin was in panic. Later he gathered himself for one last prayer, but this time addressed not towards Mohamed but towards Jesus Christ. He decided to pray to Jesus for help because he remembered that Pepa had told him about her faith in Jesus. Instantly, after the prayer the dead body of Pepa moved and she raised, sitting on her bed. Meridian was even more frightened at that moment. Jesus has heard his prayer, but there was something more. Praying to Jesus, Meridian promised that if Jesus answers his prayer, he will serve him till the end of his life. This day put a new start for the young couple. Later they came back in Bulgaria and initially they were rejected by their relatives because of their multi-ethnical marriage and because of the acceptance of the new faith, a fact which was unbearable for the family of Meridin. By the means of prayer, patience and the personal example, the young couple have brought 23 people from Meridin’s family to Jesus Christ. Today they have own newly formed church in the town of Veliki Preslav and believe in God about the ministry among the Muslims here in Bulgaria and outside the country.
