On 20 December the women from messiah church organized a celebration on the occasion of Christmas. We started I n a traditional manner - with a prayer and singing "Silent night" and after that Ina Uzunova read a poem, accompanied by musical background, which brought us into the atmosphere of the birth of the Savior. Everyone there took pleasure in the atmosphere. Pastor Tanya preached shortly on the word from Luke, chapter 2 – the meeting of Mary with the angel, who brought to her the good news that she is chosen by God to give a birth to the world’s Savior. She mentioned some of the reasons why Mary got upset because of this meeting and then the picture of the shepherds on the field – how they react to the angels’ presence, bringing again the great news. The miracle of Christmas is a baby in the manger. This baby in the manger is the God’s incarnation. The baby in the manger reveals the personality and the mission of Christ. Because of the fact of Christmas we can enjoy the God’s presence which surrounds us. Christ was born and named Emanuel – God is with us!

So, our meeting continued with Ogi Indjova, who presented a video clip, telling us about the thrilling story of a goodness – how a young woman, who had given a cup of milk to a frozen boy, saving him from a hopeless situation; after years this boy is a successful doctor and he takes care of "the young woman". Recognizing her face, he made whatever he could to save her life and paid her hospital bills, signing the delivery note with "paid with cup of milk". It was an encouraging story, which inspired us to keep doing well to the others.

The end of the year is a good time for one to strike a balance and our gathering continued with the next surprise in our schedule.

"To turn back years before today" – we saw pictures from our women’s ministries throughout the years, starting from 2004 up to this days not a small part of us have some difficulties to recognize themselves in the photos presented. It was funny, but in the same time we strike a balance how many things we have done together during those years. We believe that our women’s ministry has built up the women in faith and they have found answers for their personal and spiritual life.

Finally, Ogi, along with two girls, who helped her, gifted presents and Christmas cards to the women there. At the end we gave some snacks and have a time for conversations.

Messiah church women like gathering together and a good evidence for this was the fact that there were about 60 women, attending the meeting.
