On October, 19 (Monday), Messiah church with the co-operation of Stara Zagora municipality organized a massive campaign against the bad influence of teh alcohol, smoking and the drugs. More than 15000 handouts and brochures were given away. The purpose of the action was to inform the society about the damage of these vices. Statistics concerning the addiction among the young people is shocking. For the addicted there are only two ways out - the prison or the death. Dimo Dimov, a member of our church, was the initiator of this event.

Tents, from where the materials were given to the people, were built up on three key-positions in the city. Volunteers from the church took part in the event throughout the whole day and with joy spoke with the citizens, who receved the handouts. There was also an inquiry with questions concerning the care of the parents about their children's problems. We received The gratitude of teh citizens, who encouraged us about the idea and wished us good luck. We spoke with teachers from different schools, who were deeply interested to spread personally the materials among their students.

The event was announced in several mediae in Stara Zagora - newspapers and cable televisions. Pastor Lubo Petkov was a guest in the broadcast "Colourful meetings" on TV - Stara Zagora on 20 October (you can watch the video on their site). According to Dimo Dimov, the initiator of the campaign, the next step to be taken is showing a film against the drugs, for the purpose of which we are looking forward the help of institutions and other organizations in the city.
